The Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan is pleased to announce the vacancy of an International Faculty in the Department of Microbiology at the Faculty of Undergraduate Medicine for immediate recruitment.

Note:

  1. The salary and benefits are as reflected for Assistant Professor for International Faculty which is inclusive of permissible allowances as per the approval from the Cabinet Secretary, Gyalyong Tshokhang, Bhutan vide letter No. C-3/152/2023/1798 dated 21 September 2023.
  2. No separate contract allowances.
  3. No PF and no gratuity deduction.
  4. Nu. 15,000 per month will be provided as a House rent allowance. 
  5. No LTC/leave encashment.
  6. Airfare will be provided at the time of reporting for work and at the end of the tenure but return airfare will not be provided if one does not complete the tenure of the contract.
  7. Other entitlements and deductions will be as per the Condition of the Service of the University 2018 and the existing rules and regulations of the Royal Government of Bhutan.
  8. The relevant degrees must be recognized by the Medical and Health Professionals Council in Bhutan (Attach a copy of the respective medical council of the host country).
  9. The placement at a particular academic position shall be according to the Condition of Services of the University 2018.

    • A copy of the Medical Fitness certificate issued by a competent medical doctor.
    • Merit/Other certificates (if any)
    • One recent passport-size photograph
  • Terms of Reference of all the positions are reflected in the Position Directory available on the KGUMSB website
  • Preference will be given to the applicants with relevant qualifications/training and work experience with the production of evidence.
  • Short-listed applicants will be called for a selection interview/selection examination.
  • An applicant shall be disqualified from appearing in the selection interview if he/she has failed to furnish testimonials as required above.
  • Short-listed applicants must produce the original documents during the time of the interview
  • The university reserves the right not to select applicants if they do not get appropriate applicants for the post.
