Training module development workshop on Competency Based Curriculum Framework for Medical and Health Sciences Education

The Academic Program Unit under the Office of the President, Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan conducted six-day training module development workshop on Competency Based Curriculum Framework for Medical and Health Sciences Education from 16th to 21st May 2022 at Tashi Yoedling Hotel, Thimphu. Eleven-member experts and representatives from the Institutes under the University were involved.

Subsequently, three- day capacity building training on Competency Based Curriculum Framework for Medical and Health Sciences Education was provided to 20 selected teaching Faculties (11 Core and Adjunct from JDWNRH; 9 full-time Faculties from different Institutes) under the University from 25th to 27th May 2022.

The activities were conducted to
1. standardize the curriculum aligning to Competency Based Curriculum Framework
2. improve the quality of medical and health sciences education curriculum
3. ensure that the Institutes offering new competency based curriculum produce better graduates from the University to deliver quality health care services

JICA Technical Cooperation Project (JICA TCP) funded the activities.
