The Pre-Medical Orientation Program at the Faculty of Undergraduate Medicine (FoUGM), Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan (KGUMSB), was inaugurated today (13.11.2023) at its Taba campus in Thimphu, Bhutan. A cohort of twenty-four undergraduate students is participating in the six-week pre-medical orientation program. The commencement of this program was made possible with crucial support from the World Health Organization (WHO), which provided essential ICT facilities. These facilities, along with medical books for the library, were formally handed over to the Registrar of KGUMSB by the WHO Country Office (Bhutan) WR on November 8th, 2023, at the WHO Country Office in Thimphu. The Faculty expresses sincere gratitude for the valuable support extended by the WHO in facilitating these essential resources for the program.
