National Order of merit 2016

21^st December 2016: The following staff of the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan (Jigme Dorji Wangchuk National Referral Hospital) received the National Award of Merit, 2016 – Excellence in Teaching:

1. Phurb Dorji, Professor (FoPGM) and HoD – Gynecology Department (JDWNRH) : Gold Medal
2. Karma Tshering, Clinical Tutor (FNPH) and Sr. MLT – Laboratory Department (JDWNRH) : Silver Medal
3. Guru Prasad Dhakal, Associate Professor (FoPGM) and HoD – Medicine Department : Bronze Medal

The National Order of Merit was awarded under the category of excellence in teaching.
The ceremony was presided over by the President of the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan. He congratulated and encouraged each and every recipient of the award to work with more dedication and loyalty in serving the Tsa Wa Sum and give their best to impart their knowledge and skills to the students and improve the teaching learning method.
