SERVICE AWARD CEREMONY – 2022

13th December 2022: As per the Royal Command from His Majesty the King, the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan conducted medal award ceremony to the faculty members/staff for their dedicated service and loyalty to the Tsa Wa Sum. The award ceremony was marked by offering of the Marchang, followed by Suja Desi and awarding of the Medals. Following were the recipients:


Dedicated Lifetime Service Award (2022):

  1. Diki Wangmo – Registrar (Office of the President (OOP))
  2. Neyzang Wangmo – Director (Medical Education Centre for Research, Innovation and Training (MECRIT))

Dedicated Service Award for 30 Years and Above (2022):

  1. Karma Yangdon, Senior Administrative Assistant (Faculty of Nursing and Public Health (FNPH))

Dedicated Service Award for 20 Years and Above (2022):

  1. Kuenzang, Lecturer (Faculty of Nursing and Public Health (FNPH))

Dedicated Service Award for 10 Years and Above (2022):

  1. Sonam Chhoden R, Assistant Professor (Faculty of Postgraduate Medicine (FoPGM))
  2. Drungtsho Sherab Dorji, Senior Lecturer (Faculty of Traditional Medicine (FoTM))
  3. Dechen Choden, Lecturer (Faculty of Traditional Medicine (FoTM))
  4. Dechen Tshomo, Senior Accounts Assistant (Faculty of Traditional Medicine (FoTM))
  5. Yeshi Nidup, Driver (Faculty of Traditional Medicine (FoTM))
  6. Tshewang Rinzin, Associate Lecturer (Faculty of Nursing and Public Health))

The ceremony was presided over by the President of the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan. He expressed our gratitude to the Wangchuck dynasty for the sovereignty and peace we are enjoying. He congratulated the recipients for their long dedicated service and motivated them to work with more dedication and loyalty in serving the Tsa Wa Sum.
