A 6-weeks (1.5 hours every week) online certificate course on adult palliative care was conducted from 11 January to 15 February for the healthcare professionals in Bhutan. More than 150 doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, pharmacists, health assistants and other allied health professionals from all levels of healthcare attended the course. This course was provided by Australasian Palliative Link International and Pallium India and was facilitated by Dr Tara Devi Laabar (PhD), Sr Lecturer at FNPH, KGUMSB.
A similar course was conducted on Paediatric Palliative Care from 21 July to 25 August 2023 where more than 40 paediatricians, residents and nurses from the three referral hospitals attended. This course was provided by the Two Worlds Cancer Collaboration.
The assessment and feedback of the courses are being compiled and the findings will be presented when available.
