APPOINTMENT AND PROMOTION CEREMONY, JULY 2026

14th July 2026: In a simple ceremony, the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan (KGUMSB) appointed new recruits and awarded Meritorious Promotion, broad banded promotion to faculty members/staff from the constituent faculties and offices including academic promotion orders to the Faculty Members from the Teaching Hospital for their dedicated service and loyalty to the Tsa Wa Sum. 

Hon’ble President of the University handed over the Appointment Orders and Promotion Orders along with Tashi Khaddar to the following recipients and new appointees.

  1. Meritorious Promotion, 2 Employees, Faculty of Nursing and Public Health
  2. Broad Banded Promotion
  3. Office of the President, 6 employees.
  4. Faculty of Nursing and Public Health (FNPH), 5 Employees
  5. Faculty of Undergraduate Medicine (FoUGM), 2 Employees
  6. Faculty of Postgraduate Medicine (FoPGM), 1 employee
  7. Academic Promotion, 4 Faculty Members (1 Associate Professor and 3 Assistant Professor), FoPGM.
  8. Conversion of Academic Designation from Adjunct to Core, 2 Faculty Member (Sr. Lecturer), JDWNRH, FoPGM.
  9. Appointment of 8 new Faculty Member (1 from JDWNRH, 4 from ERRH and 3 from CRRH), FoPGM

Hon’ble President extended heartfelt congratulations to all staff members who received promotions, recognizing their dedication, commitment, contributions to the University and also warmly welcomed the newly recruited employees, encouraging them to uphold the University’s values of professionalism, integrity, and excellence while carrying out their responsibilities. He emphasized the importance of working collaboratively to advance the University’s vision and mission and to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development. The promotion and appointment ceremony was attended by the Hon’ble President, Registrar, Deans, Directors, Dy. Deans and other senior officials of university.
