On 25th November 2025, the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan conducted the 19th Governing Council Meeting, chaired by His Excellency Health Minister Tandin Wangchuk. As the highest decision-making body of the University, the Council meets at least twice a year to carry out its responsibilities as outlined in the University of Medical Sciences Act of Bhutan 2012. During the session, the Council provided strategic guidance and discussed initiatives to further enhance the University’s role in advancing medical education and healthcare in Bhutan.
