
Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan (KGUMSB) in collaboration with the International Vaccine Institute (IVI) in Seoul, South Korea is organizing a symposium titled “Accelerating Global Research Response: Partnerships, Innovation, and Preparedness.”
The symposium will highlight Bhutan’s four decades of progress in immunization services, the importance of vaccine research, and the critical role of research and innovation in pandemic preparedness. It aims to promote the use of innovative tools and technologies, strengthen institutional and laboratory capacities, and support rapid evidence generation during health emergencies. The event will also foster new partnerships and enhance preparedness for future outbreaks through improved systems, skills, and strategic planning. Overall, the symposium is designed to accelerate global readiness by bringing together expertise, resources, and innovation for a more effective research response.
