Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Science of Bhutan (KGUMSB) is hosting a Talk on Travel Medicine by Dr David Shilm at 3:00-4:00 pm at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Faculty of Nursing and Public Health.
Dr. Shlim is the Medical Doctor and Director of Jackson Travel and Tropical Medicine Center in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He is the author of the Health Chapter in Lonely Planet’s “Trekking in the Nepal Himalayas” and serves as an advisor to the Hospital. His expertise is primarily in Travel and Tropical Medicines. Currently Dr David is in Bhutan who also resourced three days seminar on Compassion and Medicines in Thimphu.
Travel medicine is a medical discipline that deals with prevention of infectious diseases during international travel as well as the personal safety of travelers and the avoidance of environmental risks during travel.
