8th Annual International Conference on Medical and Health Sciences
“Transforming Health Systems: Evidence-Based, Equity, Excellence and Resilience”
The Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan will be hosting the 8th International Conference on Medical and Health Sciences (ICMH) from 11-13 April 2024 at Terma Linca Resort and Spa, Thimphu. The theme for this year conference is “Transforming Health Systems: Evidence-Based, Equity, Excellence and Resilience”. The theme underscores the university’s commitment to advancing healthcare through evidence-based teaching and learning, ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare education and resources for students and academia, fostering excellence in healthcare education, and building resilience in the healthcare education system to address present and future challenges.
The ICMH serves as a vital platform in bringing together academia, experts, and researchers around the world to explore transformative approaches in healthcare arena. The conference will offer a diverse array of sessions, including keynote addresses, plenary sessions and side events, covering topics such as:
- Rethinking better management on the Emerging Infectious Diseases (EIDs) including Antimicrobial resistant infection and Vaccinology
- Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)
- Wellbeing and mental health resilience
- Medical education and health technology
- Health financing and health system strengthening
- Panel discussion on re-modelling the referral system
The 8th Annual International Conference on Medical and Health Sciences will be graced by the His Excellency, Lyonpo Tandin Wangchuk, Minister, Ministry of Health, Royal Government of Bhutan.
International experts, researchers, and academia will present their research findings and share best practices, shaping the future of healthcare delivery. This year’s conference will be held in a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and virtual participation to accommodate diverse attendee needs and preferences. Around 250 participants including presenters and panelist are expected attend the conference.
