Druk Thuksey Award
12th January 2022: The Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan, in a simple ceremony, handed over the Druk Thuksey Medal Pins to the concerned Faculties which will be distributed to the concerned employees who have dedicated their hard work and contributed to the Ministry of Health in the COVID – 19 control activities.
There were a total of 49 recipients from the University, out of which
4 were from the Office of the President (OOP), 1 from the Medical Education Centre for Research Innovation and Training (MECRIT), 6 from the Faculty of Traditional Medicine (FoTM), 9 from the Faculty of Postgraduate Medicine (FoPGM), 25 from the Faculty of Nursing and Public Health (FNPH) and 4 from the Arura Academy of Health Sciences, Phuentsholing (AAHS).
The Hon’ble President while handing over the medal pins to the Registrar and Deans asked to convey his congratulations and gratitude to the employees for their dedication and hardwork showed during those crucial times in the country. He also encouraged them to work with more dedication and loyalty and readily serve the nation whenever and wherever required.
