First SAFOG Meeting in Bhutan

This is the first time that Bhutan is hosting an important activity of South Asian Federation of Obstetricians and Gynecologist (SAFOG). It is organized by the Faculty of Postgraduate Medicine under the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan. SAFOG is a non-profit organization formed by National societies formed by Obstetrician s and Gynecologists from the SAARC member countries in 1996. The SAFOG tries to bring together the Obstetricians & Gynecologists in SAARC region for closer cooperation, to promote reproductive health, to exchange of ideas, knowledge and skills , to promote uniformity in medical postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynecology, to cooperate with other International organizations and for capacity building of member national societies.
