Meeting with Curtin University, Perth, Australia

A team led by Dr. Kuenzang Chhezom, Registrar of Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan, met with the Dean International for the Faculty of Health Sciences, Jaya Dantas, Curtin University on 20th August 2026 at The Pema by Realm in Thimphu to dicuss on collaborations between the two Universities in areas of mutual interests in medical education and research. 

The Faculties, staff and students of the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan also attended a Masterclass in Gender, Environment, Health equity and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the evening. This masterclass connects how human well-being, climate policies, and social fairness depend on achieving gender equity. The masterclass gave the attendees rich experiences in these areas which are the fundamental requirements for a committed and compassionate Health care provider to realize the SDGs and Gross National Happiness (GNH).
