Notification for Selection of Students for July 2026 & 2027 Academic Sessions

The selection of students for Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan (KGUMSB) will take place from 27th April to 6th May 2026, excluding 2nd and 3rd May 2026.
All eligible Class XII students who applied through the KGUMSB Admission Portal are requested to keep their mobile phones or an alternate mobile phone accessible during this period, to receive calls from University Admission Centre to confirm your admission.
Please note the following:
- Students should discuss the field of study with your parents and guardians before receiving calls from the University so as not to lose the opportunities. You can keep more options ready for selecting the course.
- Students whose phones are switched off or unreachable during the selection period will miss their opportunity for admission.
- Students without access to a mobile phone should inform their parents or guardians in advance, as the University Admission Centre will call the parent or guardian number entered in the Admission Portal if the student cannot be reached.
- KGUMSB will not be responsible for missed calls due to incorrect contact numbers entered in the Admission Portal or numbers that are unreachable.
Selection Process
Students will be selected in two batches based on merit ranking, for both Government Scholarship and Self-Funded categories.
- Batch 1 — Selected students will commence their training in July 2026.
- Batch 2 — Selected students will commence their training in July 2027.
Self-Finance candidates will be selected after the completion of Government Scholarship selections, within the same period.
Obligations:
Students under Government Scholarship will be required to sign an undertaking with the Faculties where they will be trained in as per the Executive order No. KGUMSB/Planning/GC/2025-2026/2268 dated 12th August 2025 which is in line with the directives of the Governing Council of Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan meeting held from 26th July to 1st August 2025.
