The 27th Academic Board (AB) Meeting of the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan was held on November 10, 2025, at the Executive Hall, Royal Thimphu College chaired by the President of the University, Dr. Pem Namgyal. The meeting was attended by members representing the university management, teaching hospitals, and student representatives. Convened biannually in accordance with the University Act, the Academic Board is the highest decision-making body for academic matters. The board discussed and made key decisions on enhancing the quality and effectiveness of teaching and learning, approval of curriculum validation, and strengthening mechanisms for quality assurance and improvement. It reaffirmed its commitment to setting academic standards aligned with international benchmarks.
