Research Grant on leishmaniasis
The Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan (KGUMSB), is pleased to announce the availability of research grant supported through collaborative research between KGUMSB and University of Colombo, Sri Lanka under NIH funding. The research proposals should be related to Leishmaniasis in Bhutan.
Funding: Up to Nu. 500,000 / – (Five Hundred Thousand) each will be awarded to TWO selected research proposals
Eligibility: Interested researchers from faculties under KGUMSB and hospitals under NMS/ MoH.
Application Process: Interested applicants should submit a detailed research proposal, including:
- Clear research objectives and hypotheses
- Detailed methodology
- Budget breakdown
- Timeline
- CVs of Investigators
The complete proposal should be addressed to Chair of the Selection Committee, Leishmaniasis Research Grant, Research Unit, MECRIT, KGUMSB latest by 30th December 2024 (5PM).
Evaluation Criteria:
- Research proposal is aligned to address Leishmaniasis prevention and control in Bhutan
- Scientific merit and innovation
- Feasibility and practicality of the proposed research
- Experience and qualifications of the research team
- Budget justification
Please note;
- If detailed budget, time-line, PI’s CVs or relevant information are not included, the proposal will be disqualified.
- If any indication of plagiarism is identified (>20%), the proposal will be disqualified.
- Grant will be disbursed to the researcher only when the ethical clearance from the respective ethical board is submitted along with final study protocols and study tools.
- Research project should be completed within the stipulated time for the timely completion of the project (Within June 2025)
