The 2nd Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) Meeting for the Project for Institutional Capacity Building for Eliminating Helicobacter pylori Related Deaths in Bhutan was held today at the KGUMSB Conference Hall. The JCC reviewed and deliberated on the progress and achievements of the project and discussed the way forward for the third-year project activities.
The project has significantly contributed in enhancing laboratory tests, clinical diagnosis and treatment of H. pylori infections in the country. The project funded by JICA-SATREPS was launched in August 2022 and will be completed by August 2027. It is being implemented by the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.
The JCC meeting was chaired by the President of the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan in his capacity as the JCC chair.
