A team of delegates led by Professor Michiie SAKAMOTO, Dean of School of Medicine from International University of Health and Welfare (IUHW) – Japan visited the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan on 1st May 2024.
They had a courtesy call with the Hon’ble President of KGUMSB, Dr. K P Tshering and a brief meeting with the Executives of the University. The team deliberated on the possibility of sending two to three students for the MBBS program at their University from the next academic year and also discussed on the selection of the candidate for the scholarship program for the academic year 2025 – 2026 to pursue Masters in Public Health at their University and strengthen the future collaboration with both the University. The team also visited the Centre for Simulation – Based Training (CSBT) Laboratory at the Faculty of Nursing and Public Health (FNPH) and the Museum at the Faculty of Traditional Medicine (FoTM)
