The Apollo Bhutan Institute of Nursing was established in July 2019 as a joint venture between Apollo India and Chhundu Travel and Tours, making it the first Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) nursing institute in Bhutan. The institute was founded to address the rising global and domestic demand for nursing professionals and to provide high-quality education within a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape. The institute currently offers a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), affiliated with the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan (KGUMSB) and regulated by the Bhutan Medical and Health Council (BMHC). Established in Chhumey, Bumthang, the YT Nursing Academy is Bhutan’s fourth private nursing institute, officially affiliated with the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan (KGUMSB).
