Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan is pleased to announce the following vacancies for immediate recruitment for the Faculty of Undergraduate Medicine and Faculty of Postgraduate Medicine.

• Course Completion Certificates (Diploma/Bachelors/Masters/PhD/MD/MS/Fellowship)
• Security Clearance Certificate (Valid and copy) for Bhutanese applicants
• Audit Clearance Certificate (Valid and copy) for Bhutanese applicants 
• No Objection Certificate from the Employer (If employed)
• A copy of Citizenship Identity Card
• A copy of the Medical Fitness certificate issued by a competent medical doctor.

• One recent passport-size photograph
• One legal stamp

• Preference will be given to the applicants with relevant qualifications/training and work experience with the production of evidence.
• Short-listed applicants will be called for a selection interview/selection examination.
• An applicant shall be disqualified from appearing in the selection interview if he/she has failed to furnish testimonials as required above.
• Short-listed applicants must produce the original documents during the time of the interview
• The selected applicant will be assigned the position level based on the qualification, current position level, and number of work experience in the current position. 
• The university reserves the right not to select applicants if they do not get appropriate applicants for the post.

NOTE:  For position SL No   3 to 9.

• The salary and benefits for Professor/ Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor for national faculty are inclusive of permissible allowances as per the approval from the Cabinet Secretary vide letter no. C-3/152/2023/1798 dated 21 September 2023.

• The salary and benefits for senior lecturers and below and those joining as full-time faculties are as per the existing rules and regulations of the Royal Government of Bhutan.

• Applicable allowances are subsumed as per the Notification of the Ministry of Finance with the variable pay.

• Other entitlements and deductions will be as per the Condition of the Service of the University 2018 and the existing rules and regulations of the Royal Government of Bhutan.

• The relevant degrees must be recognized by the Medical and Health Professionals Council in Bhutan.

• The placement at a particular academic position shall be according to the Condition of Service of the University 2018.

• The candidates may join the University on secondment as per the existing rules/norms. OR

• The candidates may join the University on a special contract for a period of three years with a provision to extend the tenure based on performance and the requirements.

OR

The candidates may join the University as full-time faculties of the University.
