The International Academic Teacher Training Course for Health Professions (ATTC) in Munich is part of Continuous Professional Development and a mandatory faculty development program of the medical faculty of LMU Munich. It is offered by CIHLMU and the Institute for Medical Education and is embedded in a strong network with international partner institutions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Target Group<\/strong><br \/>\nTeachers in health professions education and other domains who want to improve their skills as<br \/>\neducators.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Teaching Methods<\/strong><br \/>\nThe course is competency-oriented. It initiates an active and participatory learning process by using<br \/>\nconstructive and interactive learning methods. The development of relevant competencies is supported<br \/>\nby on-line small group discussions, group work, independent study, individual and group presentations<br \/>\nand expert sessions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objectives &#8211; Participants will\u2026<\/strong>structure their own teaching and assessing in large and small classes<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>develop a curriculum from learning objectives to assessment methods and teaching and learning<br \/>\nactivities for their own teaching practice at their home institution<\/li>\n<li>give and receive feedback in their daily work, practice intercultural communication and collaborations, share professional teaching expertise across different health professions<\/li>\n<li>use online facilitation tools and techniques routinely<strong>Participants have &#8230;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>English language proficiency at C1 level<\/li>\n<li>Previous teaching experience with students in health professions<\/li>\n<li>A work environment to practice newly acquired teaching skills during the transfer phase<\/li>\n<li>A sustainable internet connection with good bandwidth<\/li>\n<li>A computer with audio and video peripherals.
