3rd March 2016: The investiture ceremony of the Deans and Deputy Deans for the 3 faculties: the Faculty of Nursing and Public Health (FNPH), the Faculty of Traditional Medicine (FoTM) and the Faculty of Postgraduate Medicine (FoPM) was conducted on 3rd March 2016.<\/p>\n
The ceremony began with the offering of Marchang, followed by recitation of \u201cTashi Tshekpa\u201d and \u201cZhugdey Phunsum Tshogpa\u201d.<\/p>\n
The ceremony was presided over by the Hon\u2019ble Health Minister, Lyonpo Tandin Wangchuk as the Chief Guest and some of the invited guests. He reminded the appointees about the roles and responsibilities and encouraged them to work harder in serving the Tsa \u2013 Wa \u2013 Sum.<\/p>\n
As mandated by the University Act of Bhutan 2012 and the Condition of Services 2014, the elections for the three faculties were conducted with the support from the Dzongkhag Election Office as per the election guidelines.<\/p>\n
The appointment orders were handed over to the appointees by the Hon\u2019ble Chief Guest.<\/p>\n
