{"id":238539,"date":"2023-12-06T15:59:57","date_gmt":"2023-12-06T09:59:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kgumsb.edu.bt\/?p=238539"},"modified":"2023-12-06T15:59:57","modified_gmt":"2023-12-06T09:59:57","slug":"announcement-for-phlebotomy-training","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kgumsb.edu.bt\/index.php\/2023\/12\/06\/announcement-for-phlebotomy-training\/","title":{"rendered":"ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PHLEBOTOMY TRAINING\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p><strong>KGUMSB\/HR\/11\/2023-2024\/2019&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right\">6<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;December&nbsp;2023&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan (KGUMSB) in collaboration with&nbsp;National Medical Services is pleased to announce the availability of training opportunities for the Laboratory Assistant Training \/Phlebotomy Training.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Training will be&nbsp;conducted by the&nbsp;Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, JDWNRH, Thimphu in collaboration with the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan,&nbsp;as follows:&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"1\">\n<li><strong>Program Training:<\/strong>&nbsp;Training&nbsp;on Certificate in Phlebotomy<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Tentative course start date:<\/strong>&nbsp;15<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;January 2024<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Duration of training:<\/strong>&nbsp;Seven&nbsp;months (04&nbsp;months training&nbsp;followed by&nbsp;03&nbsp;months&nbsp;hands-on&nbsp;attachment)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"4\">\n<li><strong>Certificate\/<\/strong><strong>award<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong>&nbsp;Certificate&nbsp;in Phlebotomy<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"5\">\n<li><strong>Number of candidates:<\/strong>&nbsp;40 candidates will be selected (20 will start in the first batch and the remaining 20 will start when the first batch commences OJT after&nbsp;four&nbsp;months).&nbsp;Up to 10 candidates may be&nbsp;kept on reserve\/waiting list<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"6\">\n<li><strong>Eligibility criteria are as follow:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Class XII Passed&nbsp;(any&nbsp;stream)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If there are tie\/equal scores during selection, science students may be given the preference over other streams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Individuals who are below 34 years can apply but preference will be given to younger candidates.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;7.&nbsp;Shortlisting Criteria are as follow<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>70% from Class XII marks (best&nbsp;four&nbsp;subjects including English) and&nbsp;30% from Class X marks&nbsp;(best four subjects including English)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>8.&nbsp;Selection Criteria are as follow<\/strong>:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>60% from academic performance of Class X and XII&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>40% from the VIVA VOCE&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>9.&nbsp;Documents required :<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Copy of Valid Citizenship Identity Card (original must be produced during selection process)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy Class X certificate and transcript (original must be produced during selection process)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy of Class XII&nbsp;
