16th December 2016: As per the Royal Command from His Majesty the King, the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical
Sciences of Bhutan awarded the medals to the staff for their dedicated service and loyalty to the Tsa Wa Sum. The award ceremony was marked by offering of the Marchang, followed by Suja Desi and awarding of the Medals. The following were the recipients:
- Neyzang Wangmo, Director – MECRIT (30 years of service)
- Diki Wangmo, Assistant Professor – FNPH (30 years of service)
- Tashi Tobagy Director, HRP – KGUMSB (20 years of service)
- Drungtsho Tendrel Wangdi, Dean – FoTM (20 years of service)
- Tashi Norbu, Deputy Chief Program Officer – MECRIT (20 years of service)
- Kuenzang Chhezom, Lecturer – FoPGM (10 years of service)
- Kinzang Choden, Personal Assistant – KGUMSB (10 years of service)
- Tashi Chogyal, ADM Assistant – KGUMSB (10 years of service)
- Karma Choden, Associate Lecturer – FNPH (10 years of service)
- Sangay Wangmo. ADM Assistant – FNPH (10 years of service)
- Drungtsho Jurmie Choden, Deputy Chief Program Officer – MECRIT (10 years of service)
The ceremony was presided over by the President of the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan. He congratulated and encouraged each and every recipient of the award to work with more dedication and loyalty in serving the Tsa Wa Sum.
